The Sports Rehabilitation Center is pleased to welcome Max Sterenson, PT, DPT, OCS, ATC as part of the Brookhaven staff. Max is an accomplished sports physical therapist who will serve as the Director of Baseball Performance and Injury Prevention. He graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S in Athletic Training and received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. Max was selected to serve as an athletic trainer at the World Maccabiah Games in Israel and the Pan-Am Games in Santiago, Chile. He had the opportunity to work as part of the rehabilitation staff with the Cleveland Guardians organization. Through this experience, he learned the essential skills of arm care, injury prevention in the overhead athlete, and performance enhancement for the baseball player. In the clinical setting, Max worked at the Mamba Sports Academy, a sports medicine and performance center started in collaboration with Kobe Bryant. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Max worked at Elite Orthosport, where he continued to hone his rehabilitation skills treating baseball, tennis, basketball, soccer and football athletes. Max’s attraction to the Sports Rehabilitation Center was to join a group of highly skilled sports and orthopedic physical therapists, in an environment that would give him access to treating baseball players and athletes of all ages and levels. He believes he can use his skillset to have an impact on treating and mitigating youth and elite sports.
